Ashlee Simpson
This impish looking babe, Ashlee Simpson has finally come out of the shadow of her famous older sibling. Ashlee Simpson is the princess of 'punk-pop' music. Almost 'Aguileraish' in appeal her music has won her innumerable fans across the globe bringing in immense recognition and accolades.

Ashlee Nicole Simpson daughter of Joe Simpson and Tina Ann Drew, sister of pop star artist Jessica Simpson was born on 3rd October, 1984 in Dallas, Texas. Ashlee was home-taught by her mother, Tina (a school teacher).

At the age of 3, Ashlee began training in ballet. By the age of 11, Ashlee was the youngest person ever, to be admitted into the prestigious School of American Ballet. Soon the Simpson family shifted base to Los Angles. As a natural progression Ashlee joined her 'now famous' elder sister, and hit the roads dancing and supporting her sister's rise to fame.

Nevertheless, Ashlee was destined for bigger and better things. She got the chance to prove her acting prowess when she landed a small role on TV for "Malcolm in the Middle." Soon she appeared on "Saved by the Bell", and then "7th Heaven" happened to Ashlee. This hit WB series jumpstarted her rise to stardom.

However, Ashlee's heart was in music. Geffen Records signed Ashlee, and "The Ashlee Simpson Show" premiered on MTV, soon after. This reality series accompanied Ashlee as she focused herself into the making of her debut CD, 'Autobiography'. This TV series won Ashlee countless fans around America.

Sound of Music
'Autobiography's' hit debut single "Pieces of Me" reached the #1 spot in its first week of release, and went on to be a certified triple platinum. Ashlee has been quoted as saying that writing her own songs has been an artistic leap of faith. In 2004, she formed her own band the 'Ashlee Simpson and Submission.'

Ladder to Fame
Soon after the release of her debut album, Ashlee won the Billboard Award for 'New Female Artist of the Year', the same year. Ashlee experienced a near career-destroying debacle on the NBC's Saturday Night Live show in 2004. She was caught lip-syncing her supposedly live performance on the show. But with her getting the chance to play Roxy Hart, in the production of the musical Chicago, Ashlee may have successfully revived her career. The critics have praised Simpson's performance as been 'flawless' and 'almost perfect' in this musical which has opened on West End, recently.

"I am moody, messy
I get restless and senseless and you never seem to care
When I'm angry... you listen... make me happy
It's a mission and you won't stop till I'm there.
Fall....sometimes I fall so fast
When I hit the bottom crash...your all I have"
