Biography
Joe Lo Truglio plays lovable Det. Charles Boyle on NBC's Golden Globe Award-winning comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."Lo Truglio also starred for two seasons on the Netflix comedy "Wet Hot American Summer" as Neil, a role he created as a member of sketch comedy troupe "The State." Additionally, Lo Truglio starred in the Comedy Central series "Reno 911" and continues to recur on "Bob's Burgers" (Fox) and "Drunk History" (Comedy Central).
Lo Truglio co-starred in the Netflix feature film "A Futile and Stupid Gesture," directed by frequent collaborator David Wain, and "Win It All," directed and produced by Joe Swanberg. Additionally, Lo Truglio appeared in the Netflix comedy "Easy."
Films on Lo Truglio's resume include "Wet Hot American Summer," "The Ten," "Superbad," "Pineapple Express," "Role Models," "I Love You Man," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Pitch Perfect" and "High Road." He's produced and starred in two hit digital series with "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" head writer A.D. Miles – "Horrible People" and "Hot Sluts," which he co-wrote as well, and produced the digital series "Beef."
Lo Truglio reunited with "Superbad" director Greg Mottola for the science-fiction comedy "Paul," working with Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver, Simon Pegg, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader. He also co-starred in the David Wain-directed, Judd Apatow-produced comedy "Wanderlust," opposite Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux.
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, son and dog.
