Biography

Hayley Orrantia plays popular and self-centered Erica Goldberg on ABC's hit comedy series "The Goldbergs."

Orrantia is an actress, singer and songwriter from Highland Village, Texas, and got her big break as a contestant on season one of "The X Factor."
Orrantia's sucesss as a singer is impressive. She performed on the soundtracks for Disney's "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure," "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" and "Hannah Montana Forever," and her solo releases include "Strong, Sweet & Southern," "Give Me Back Sunday" and "Lovesick." She has opened for several major artists and celebrities, including Brad Paisley, Easton Corbin, Hot Chelle Rae, Jack Ingram, JLS, Julianne Hough and Rachael Ray. Orrantia has performed at numerous festivals throughout the country, including CMA Fest, the Texas State Fair and the Montana State Fair. In addition, she has sung the national anthem for the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Mavericks and many other teams. Orrantia has also been making the rounds touring – she embarked on her first solo tour, "Strong, Sweet & Southern," during summer 2018, performing at venues across the country. Most recently, she released her second EP, "The Way Out"; on the day of its release, the lead single, "If I Don't," reached the No. 23 spot on the iTunes American Country chart and No. 3 in the United Kingdom.

An accomplished songwriter, Orrantia wrote the theme song for "The Janee Show" and co-wrote "Power of a Girl" for the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the USA. She penned the song "Who I Am" for a friend suffering with an eating disorder and performed it for several National Eating Disorders Association events in Texas and California.

Her film credits include "God's Not Dead 2" as the lead character, Brooke, and "Cooper and the Castle Hills Gang," which premiered in 2010 at the Dallas International Film Festival. The film has received numerous awards from the National Home Builders, Telly Awards, Webby Awards and the Dallas Home Builders Association.

Orrantia's other television credits include a recurring role on the YouTube comedy series "Roommates" and "The Goldbergs" spinoff "Schooled."

Orrantia is an ambassador for the Texas Music Project, a nonprofit organization focused on helping promote music education in Texas schools. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
