Barrett Foa

Biography

Prior to his role on "NCIS: Los Angeles," Barrett Foa starred on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musicals "Avenue Q," "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and the original cast of "Mamma Mia!" Also, Foa played Jesus in the 30th anniversary production of "Godspell" and can be heard on the recording.

During his summer hiatuses from "NCIS: Los Angeles," Foa starred as Prior in "Angels in America, Parts 1 and 2" at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; starred in the one-man, multi-character, off-Broadway comedy "Buyer & Cellar"; played Oscar in "Sweet Charity" at the Reprise 2.0 theater; conceived his own solo show "Grin and Barrett"; starred in "The Music Man" at the Connecticut Repertory Theatre; and starred, co-wrote and produced the sold-out hit "For the Record: John Hughes" in Los Angeles and New York City.

Foa's additional television credits include guest starring roles on "Numb3rs," NCIS, "Entourage," "Six Degrees" and "The Closer." Barrett Foa plays Tech Operator Eric Beale in "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Foa appeared in numerous plays at prestigious theaters, such as Playwrights Horizons, the Public Theatre and New York Theater Workshop in New York City. Regionally, he has played leading roles at Paper Mill Playhouse, Bay Street Theatre, Hartford Stage, the Shakespeare Theatre Co. in D.C., Connecticut Repertory Theatre, TheatreWorks in California, the St. Louis Muny, North Shore Music Theatre, Weston Playhouse, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Maine State Music Theatre and Music Theatre of Wichita.

Born and raised in New York City, Foa graduated from the Dalton School in Manhattan. He attended Interlochen Arts Camp, studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater from the University of Michigan.

In 2013 and 2014, Foa was the on-air backstage host and social media correspondent for "The Tony Awards."
