About the Show

Named the #1 TV Show of 2010 by New York Magazine, "Community," is a smart, exuberant comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talking lawyer whose degree has been revoked. With some help from his fellow classmates, Winger forms a study group who eventually learn more about themselves than their course work.

Also among the series stars who comprise the group are comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Fletch") as Pierce, a man whose life experience has brought him infinite wisdom; Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel") as Britta, the 20-something dropout with something to prove; Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement") as Shirley, a sassy middle-aged divorcee; Danny Pudi ("Greek") as Abed, a pop culture junkie; Alison Brie ("Mad Men") as Annie, a high-strung perfectionist; Donald Glover ("30 Rock") as Troy, a former high school football star trying to find his way, and Ken Jeong ("The Hangover") as Senor Chang, the group's former Spanish professor.

Season two kicked off with a guest appearance by the legendary Betty White ("The Golden Girls"). The six-time Emmy Award winner and cultural icon played Professor June Bauer, an esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor. This season has also featured guest appearances by Drew Carey as Jeff Winger's former boss at the law firm, Rob Corddry as Jeff's former colleague, Hilary Duff as a "mean girl," "The Daily Show's" John Oliver, reprising his role as Professor Duncan and Kevin Corrigan as the mysterious Professor Professorson. This year, the study group has taken an unexpected trip in a space simulator; become Halloween zombies; and morphed into stop-motion animation. We have also learned more about the characters' lives this year – seeing them in their home environments from time to time. And finally, Senor Chang, who enrolled as a full time student at Greendale, is on a continuing quest to join the study group.

"Community" was created by Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program") who serves as executive producer with Russ Krasnoff ("The Soloist"), Joe Russo ("Arrested Development"), Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development"), Garrett Donovan ("Scrubs"), Neil Goldman ("Scrubs") and Gary Foster ("The Soloist").
