I feel Mr. Allen was unjustly vilified! I always had the impression that he was honest and represented himself as a narcisstic, hypochondriac, who made it known that he has quirks and preferred compliant and non-confrotational women. I doubt, Ms. Farrow could possibly think he could be a surrogate father for her children. I doubt he misrepresented himself in private, since he certainly never did in public. When I remarried with 4 gorgeous teenagers, I had a dinner with my family and ex-husband. I spoke freely to everyone, and said if my husband ever made my children feel uncomfortable, they were to tell me ASAP! I would kick my new husband out so quick his head would spin. Yes, my ex and current husbands looked dumbfounded and embarrassed! I'm sure my whole family knew I was beyond serious! Dragging her other children into her personal and painful experience, did more damage than Woody's actions with the adult daughter of his girlfriend. I doubt he was her father figure knowing his own addmissions of being a neurotic, self-centered, quirky and talented artist and musician! Ms, Farrow was living in denial for far too long! I LOVED Matchpoint! I love his music!
