Seann William Scott
Blond and athletic Seann William Scott, the youngest of seven siblings, was born in Cottage Grove, Minnesota to William Frank Scott, a factory worker, and Patricia Ann Simons
on October 3, 1976. Scott was inspired to become an actor during his stint at the local movie theater and watching many movies for free. Soon after his graduation from
Park High School, Scott headed where most wannabe actors go, Hollywood.
Hollywood Calling
Scott was discovered at a talent competition in Los Angeles, and almost immediately was flown to New York by ABC to test for 'All My Children.' He shot for
Aerosmith's video, 'Hole in My Soul,' had a recurring role in the WB TV series 'Unhappilly Ever After' (1995), and also appeared on 'Sweet Valley High.'
However, Scott tasted his first commercial success as Steve Stifler in the movie 'American Pie' (1999). Scott reprised the role of Stifler, a loutish and crass
ladies' man, in two sequels that brought him instant recognition. The role also defined the persona for his future comedy parts. His perfect bad boy act was enough
for the media to snap his pictures and soon enough his pictures were found in ever magazine.
Scott's willingness to take less attractive roles has earned him strong character roles as the misguided bully or a class clown instead of the regular romantic leads,
has set him apart from the other actors of his generation. In 2000, Scott came back to the big screen with a good performance of class clown Billy Hitchcock in the
thriller 'Final Destination.' He also acted in the movie 'Road Trip,' while teaming up with Ashton Kutcher in 'Dude, Where's My Car' (both in 2000).
The year 2001, gave Scott the opportunity to reprise his role of Stifler in the sequel 'American Pie 2' and became one of the central characters in the third part of
'American Wedding' (2003). Scott again demonstrated that he was willing to play the fool rather than play a traditional leading man when he acted in Kevin Smith's
'Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back' (2001) and showed considerable leading man charm in 'Stark Raving Mad' (2002).
With 'Bulletproof Monk' (2003), Scott donned the mantle of an action hero along with Chow Yun Fat. The same year he played a funny cameo part as Peppers in the comedy
hit 'Old School' and also proved that he had an identity beyond the 'American Pie' franchise when he held his own against The Rock in runaway hit 'The Rundown.' Later,
in 2005, Scott teamed with Johnny Knoxville in 'The Dukes of Hazzard' (2005), which also marked the acting debut of singer Jessica Simpson.
2006 saw Scott lend his voice to the cocky, loudmouthed possum in 'Ice Age: The Meltdown.'
Some of Scott's movies slated for release in 2007 are 'Mr. Woodcock,' a post-high school comedy, 'Southland Tales,' is a futuristic musical-thriller set in Los Angeles,
'Book of Leo,' 'Coxblocker' and 'Gary the Tennis Coach.'

- Has 3 tattoos: an infinity symbol on his wrist, a lightning bolt on his thigh and 'Amo', Latin for 'I Love' on his tailbone.
