Rachel Bilson
Rachel Jade Bilson was born in Los Angeles, California on August 25, 1981. She is from a family where show business runs in the blood. As a result, she made her television debut
in 2003. Her father's name is Danny Bilson, who is a writer and director.
Bilson got her first break at the age of 7 when her parents helped her get a role in the film called 'The Wrong Guys.' She acted beside famous comedian Louie Anderson. After this movie, Bilson continued with her auditions for roles at Notre Dame High School. Again, through a recommendation of a good friend, Bilson received a role in a seven-part television mini-series called the 'Human Target.' It was an insignificant role but it made Bilson realize her potential and was the turning point in her life. Bilson dropped out of her college to pursue professional acting and made many appearances in commercials. She has worked on advertisements for Pepto-Bismol and Raisin Bran. Her screen-acting debut began with 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' in 2003. She also appeared in '8 Simple Rules' for Dating My Teenage Daughter, and in a short film called 'Unbroken.' Soon after, Bilson was cast in 'The O.C.' which also marked her claim to fame. She began shooting for 'The O.C.' in August 2003. She played the character of Summer Roberts. She was initially taken on to act in a few episodes but after a successful run, her character became a permanent part of the script. Bilson's first film acting opportunity came with 'The Last Kiss,' which is a romantic comedy staring Zach Braff and Jacinda Barrett. 'The Last Kiss' hit theaters in September 15, 2006 with Bilson playing a college student who seduces the character played by Braff. Moving ahead in career, Bilson has said that she would prefer films to television and that she would love to act in different roles like the ones offered to Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson. Bilson has recently signed a new movie by Doug Liman and is called the 'Jumper.' The film is scheduled for release in February 2003 and it is a thriller.
