Jude Law
Jude Law is the rising British star on the horizon. Being a versatile and prolific actor every one of his movies is a great crowd pleaser. A Jude Law production, gives everyone else a run for their money at the Awards.

Jude was born to Peter and Maggie on December 29, 1972, in Lewisham, Southern East London and grew up in Blackheath. Law is second in line to his elder sister Natasha who is a photographer. His real name is David Jude Law and makes one wonder whether the name was derived from the Beatle’s "Hey Jude" or from Thomas Hardy’s "Jude the Obscure."

Jude’s father was a primary school teacher and his mother Maggie taught refugee children English. Now both father and mother have their own theatrical company in France. Jude studied at John Ball Primary School in Blackheath and Alleyn’s School at Dulwich. Law started acting at the young age of 12 with the National Youth Music Theatre and due to heavy schedules dropped out of school at the prime age of 17.

Ladder to Fame
Law started his major career as Foxtrot Darling in Philip Ridley’s "The Fastest Clock in the Universe." His next endeavor saw him as Michael for a West End Productions, "Indiscretions" which was a remake of John Cocteau’s movie "Les Parents Terribles" where he was cast opposite Kathleen Turner, Roger Rees and Cynthia Nixon.

Jude’s first major stint came with the much talked about and popular British drama "Shopping" which by the way also had his wife to be, Sadie Frost, cast alongside him. He became popular with "Wilde" where he played the part of Lord Alfred Douglas.

Jude moved to Hollywood and earned a name for movies like "Gattaca." Other famous movies include "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," "Road to Perdition," "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Enemy at the Gates." "The Talented Mr. Ripley" won Jude the Best Supporting Actor in the year 2000, and later in 2004 he received an award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for "Cold Mountain."

Personal Life & Trivia
Law was married to Sadie Frost in 1997. The marriage brought in 3 children two sons and one daughter namely Rafferty, Rudy and Iris. He also has a step son named Finley Kemp.

Jude and Frost completed divorce proceedings in 2003, and this settlement made Frost rich by $4 million!

Jude was engaged to Sienna Miller in 2005. He apologized, publicly, for having a fling with the nanny, Daisy Wright. Jude was shocked to hear Miller was privately dating Daniel Craig. The buzz is that he is at present dating Liza Rtishchev who was worked with him as his assistant.

On November 17, 2004, Jude was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive."
